Although often confused with the international airport, kit cars, military tanks, various historical
figures and the archetypical awkward boy next door, Bradley is a band. In addition to their unique
synthesis of musical influences, Bradley's foundation lies within friendships among members that date
back to childhood. Based in Connecticut, the current ensemble emerged from a series of projects
initiated by songwriters Josh Cutts and Dean Purificato. While the aforementioned duo was functioning
as the driving force behind the band Something About Today, Tom Oppelt was chosen to fill a void. Later
in their career, the rhythm section was solidified upon the addition of indie rock veteran Carl White.
With the lineup complete and the emergence of a new sound and common objective, Bradley was born.
Bradley presently seeks to revitalize a subculture that is numbed by the mainstream entertainment
industry. Through denying the rock star mystique, the individuals in this band endeavor to break down
the barriers between themselves and the listening audience. To foster this relationship, the young men
project a humble yet cathartic stage presence along with a personal message. Above all, the group is
determined to deliver an original, quality product that boldly underscores their faith in Jesus Christ
and refutes the negative stigma sometimes attached to Christian artists.
By tempering pop sensibility with creative experimentation, Bradley avoids the over-categorization of
genres prevalent in this industry. This allows for a diverse appeal. Critics have described their music
as containing undeniable hooks, seasoned rock guitar licks, dual vocal interplay, inspired lyrical depth,
lively bass lines and commanding beat structures that hit you in the chest. But if they are unable to woo
you with any combination of these elements, then they will surely steal your heart with their passion to
share their joy in living life with hope and purpose. And, although nobody in the band is actually named
Bradley, you will come to have an affection for them as though they were that endearing boy next door.
